Welcome to the WQSB Philemon Wright High School client page.
Throughout the month of June, the Board will offer training to all staff on Addressing Anti-Black Racism in Our Schools. In the workshop, you will explore anti-Black racism and how it is manifested in the education system. Through interactive discussions and activities, you will develop a deeper understanding of anti-Black racism, an anti-racist approach to education, and strategies to engage in courageous conversations with students on race and racism. You will also explore how to challenge the danger of a single story that focuses on negative stereotypes and narratives about Black identities and to incorporate Black joy into the curriculum.
Below is the information related to the workshop. Please complete the survey before participating in the workshop. We encourage you to review the learning guide and resources prior to participating in the workshop.
